Meeting and event planning are the backbone to any successful meeting or event especially one which focuses on employee safety training and OSHA training. Without proper meeting and event planning, a corporation will lose interest, momentum, and productivity, all of which affect each aspect of the corporation. When you are in charge of meeting and event planning, the first goal is to ensure all of those people in attendance stay alert and interested. While each meeting should be serious, that does not mean it should be negative. Likewise, while some events are meant to be positive that does not they shouldn't be productive.
If you are heading the meeting and event planning for your company, the first step to success for any meeting or event is the time frame. This means that you and everyone else are punctual. Punctuality exceeds merely showing up on time, but rather, trickles into sticking to a schedule and agenda and not running over. Meetings which run over will drop in morale instantly. Punctuality also includes participation. If members are not on time, they cannot participate, and by not participating, they become passive audience members whose interest is lost immediately.
For those running meeting and event planning, it is imperative that the information contained in either of these be up to date and that the audience is asked for personal responses. If you are in charge of meeting and event planning and you are only allowed the same room or even the same venue twice, change the environment as best you can. Instead of each person sitting at the table or chairs in the audience, make the members sit on the ground for a period of time. This will change the environment and the perspective from which they view aspects of the meeting literally. If this is not possible, then try to incorporate something big and new in the room which catches people's attention.
It is equally important as the meeting and event planning continues that you find ways to keep the participants busy. The minute they are no longer amused and occupied, their minds will begin to wander and you will lose their concentration immediately. If the event is far from home, then incentives can be offered which keeps the participants happy such as free internet or applications in hospitality areas which provide members will the ability to chat live with their family or email photos back home. Supplementing the need to keep people busy and occupied, beverages should always be served. Coffee or smoothies or sodas will provide everyone with a small "pick-me-up" and keep them energized.
